Inbound Certification

I was very excited to become Inbound Certified through Hubspot’s Inbound Certification Program.  I really wanted to pass the exam the first time I took the exam.  I was pretty stoked that I passed the exam my first time with a 94%!  (The average score is a 72% with a pass rate of 44%. Over 3,100 individuals from 74 different countries have passed the certification exam.)

As business students, we have an affinity for all things business and in most cases for all things entrepreneurial.  As it turns out one of my close friends has successfully transitioned from years of working at a traditional brick and mortar to an online-only business. 

Social media has become an extremely important tool in the marketing world.  People use social media on a daily basis and companies have realized that it is far easier to reach and engage with consumers via social media than on TV, radio or any other form of traditional advertising.  Besides ease, it is also a more efficient way to engage with followers or prospective consumers.  Popular social networks include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Customers have come to expect and rely on brands to be there for them via social media.

Overview of Degrees and Certificates

The baccalauerate degree is the most common first degree earned by students in the United States higher education system. The baccalauerate degree usually includes academic requirements for the breadth as well as the depth in a chosen field of study.  To earn the baccalauerate degree, students must fulfill general studies requirements thereby obtaining introductory knowledge in several subject areas.  In addition, students focus their studies in concentration (or major) areas.
